Gender Affirming Surgery Letter & Appointment Information

Radiant Therapy is proud to offer masters level behavioral health assessments for those individuals within the trans and gender diverse community that are looking to engage in gender affirming surgery. Radiant Therapy’s Clinical Director, Jason Manning-Beekman, LCPC, NIC has been honored to specialize in working with gender diverse individuals of all age groups. He considers it his great honor to take part in the affirming surgery process by providing WPATH standards compliant letters that assess for medical necessity, readiness, and meet insurance standards to cover affirming healthcare procedures.

• Gender Affirming Surgery Letter Appointment includes:

  • An 1 ½ hour assessment

  • Coordination and collaboration with outside providers

  • A 30 minute follow-up consultation to discuss the contents of the letter

  • Production of a final recommendation letter from Jason Manning-Beekman, LCPC, NIC

• Self Pay Rate: $250.00 (one time fee) 

  • Radiant Therapy, LLC does NOT accept insurances for this services

• Insurance: 

  • Maryland Medicaid patients should be aware that 2 behavioral health letters are needed and have specific requirements. 

    • One should be from a masters level clinician and one from a doctorate level clinician. 

    • Jason Manning-Beekman, LCPC, NIC would fulfill the masters level clinician letter. 

  • If you have private insurance we STRONGLY encourage you to contact your insurance company first to discuss benefits coverage and what is necessary.

  • Letters are valid only for a year from the date they are issued

    • For use any time after that the patient would need a re-evaluation.
